Jessica Russell is originally from Huntsville, Alabama. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2017, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography. She also obtained a minor in Ceramic Arts and Motion Media Design in order to further her creative abilities and expand her photographic work to other media. As an interdisciplinary artist, she uses a wide range of techniques to best suit her artistic expression. Alongside her main processes, she also appreciates working with other expressive techniques such as capturing video, writing poetry, and creating ink drawings.

After working as a ceramic arts technician and studio manager at Savannah College of Art and Design for over 3 years, she decided it was time for a change and time to pursue her career as an artist full time. She is continuing to refine her skills in ceramics, experimenting with digital media work, and further developing her fine art photography.
